Do you know the difference between "Intelligent" and "Smart"?
Intelligent people are those who, when given a factual test, will do well because they can give the right answers most of the time.
Smart people are those who, in any situation, know what is right to do and choose the best decision.
Intelligent people have higher IQ (intelligent quotient).
Smart people have higher EQ (emotional quotient).
People who have high IQ need not be mature in thinking, but they tend to give the right answers. There are more links among the neurons in the brain.
(Research shows that the more neuro-links you have in your brain, the more intelligent you are. The active time where links are formed is between the age of 5 to 7 years old. So thats the best time to make your children read and think)
People who have high EQ think before they say or do anything because they always try not to hurt anyone's feelings and they want to make sure that they do not regret what they do. They need not be doing well in exams though, but they have great personality.
Of course, if a person has both high IQ and high EQ, that would be the best.
Now, do you know what is AQ? Adversity Quotient.
People with high AQ are those who can stand up again very fast after they meet with failure or unhappiness.
People with low AQ are those who, when encounter difficulties, always blame themselves and others and take very long to get over it.
So, if you want to venture into business, what you need most is to have high EQ and high AQ. (If you also have high IQ and good looks, then you are a perfect human being).
An example to make it clearer:
If you want to be a doctor, you need high IQ (you can't give the wrong medicine).
If you want to be a nurse, you need high EQ (you are the one who takes care of the patients).
If you are a sick patient, you need high AQ (you need will power to get well soon).
IQ, EQ and AQ can improve with age and experience, but they mostly depend on your personality, whether you accept your weaknesses and is willing to improve yourself and move ahead.
Those who are stubborn have low EQ.
Those who are pessimistic have low AQ.
Those who dont read or think have low IQ.
From the saying:
A man must be humble (EQ) enough to admit his mistakes, smart (EQ) enough to gain from them, and strong (AQ) enough to correct them.
You see, you dont need to have high IQ to be successful.
I found a website which has tons of tests where you can do to know yourself better.
But these tests are accurate only when you are truthful with the answers.
If you try to guess the "right" answers (which do not necessarily represent your true personality), then the test will not be accurate.
