Add on to System Thinking.....

Didnt expect jw to come up with such a deep topic.. system thinking.. I am starting to feel that he is more mature than most of you other people...

anyway.. there are a lot of systems everywhere, but not all of these systems are working well within itself... means.. no system thinking.

I use jw's examples to elaborate...

The body is made up of many organs. Can you imagine what will happen when the brain tells the heart :"sorry i busy now.. can i take in your blood later?" or... the intestines tell the stomach :"eh brother, can you send your waste to somewhere else?"...

Sorry jw.. system thinking is not about thinking out of the box.. but thinking out of the box is something that the system can do in order to achieve success.

Many organisations have Visions and Missions, Philosophies, Motto, etc.. thats to guide everyone in the company to think and work towards the same goal... and when everyone selflessly move towards the same goal.. that is system thinking.

Can u imagine a football team that does not apply system thinking? Then some players will want the ball to themselves.. they wont pass it... some players may want to show off, they always attack without coordination or help from other players etc.. every player in the team has their own agenda, and the outcome will be disastrous.

Can u imagine a hospital without system thinking?

To achieve system thinking, the organisation need to do a lot of 'brain-washing' so that every one move towards the same goal....

Of cos.. there are too much to talk about system thinking.. one blog alone is not enough.. so I will just stop here.. for those of you who are still studying.. system thinking can apply to you and your friends... whether you encourage each other to study hard and all do well.. or you keep cho cho each other to go and club and slack.. then everyone die together.
