no point starting school later

u know..

when we had holiday remedial at 9am, there are late comers, when you meet your friends for movie at 4pm, someone will be late... when the wedding dinner starts at 7.30pm, people come at 8.30pm...it's not about the timing... it's about the attitude.

a few schools tried starting school at 8am.. one school even tried starting at 8.30am... but now they reverted back to 7.30am. No prizes for guessing the reason.. cos these schools found out that there were more late comers after they changed to a later start time..

One reason was having to fight for bus space and mrt space with the working people..and the traffic is much slower after 7.30am so u take more time to travel on the road..and end up waking up almost the same time as before......not to mention that the usual late comers will still come late.

It's good to read the forum page in the straits times, but often you find that those who make noise first are those who are ignorant.
We should instead pay more attention to those people who reply to these people who complained... these people usually make more sense.

Good luck to those getting O level results this friday... but then again, like jw said.. you get what you planted.
